Gallery: Provence, Spring 2025

What a fantastic week!
For our 2025 Provence tour, we limited the group to eight people based on the estate that we wanted to rent. Our goal was not only to immerse ourselves in the wines of the area, but also in Provençal cuisine, history, and art. Private olive oil tastings, unforgettable lunches that weren’t over the top fancy but were instead very “of the place,” and exploration from the flamingo-filled marshes of the Mediterranean to the ancient hilltop towns of Les Baux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Our tour began in Avignon, where we picked up the group and transported them to our rented estate, located southeast of the city, at the foothills of the Luberon range. There, we settled in for seven days of wine, food, cooking, art, exploration, history, and relaxation.
Our days started early with a home-cooked breakfast and local pastries. Each day was filled with excitement and featured various themes, including Van Gogh, olive oil, Avignon, Les Baux de Provence, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, antique hunting, hiking, and more. By late afternoon, with a bit of exhaustion setting in, we returned to the estate to relax, unwind, and enjoy wine. This pace (wake relatively early, arrive at our destination for the day, explore and absorb, enjoy a lunch out, explore some more, then return to relax ahead of dinner) was carefully mapped out for every day of our tour. We found this created an excellent rhythm, allowing for true escape for the guests.
Chef Julien Martel of Rouge Bordeaux B&B accompanied us, preparing all the dinners at the house, allowing for a relaxing evening of watching the sun set every night, and giving guests the option of staying up for a bit or relaxing in their room ahead of another fun-packed day.
At the end of the tour, we dropped the group off at the Avignon train station to wish them Bon Journeé on their return to Paris (where most guests stayed for a few more nights on their own).
